Xiaomi Mi Band to go on open sale on June 2, no registrations required

After completing its fourth flash sale for Mi Band today, Xiaomi soon announced that the next sale will be on June 2 at 2 PM which will be an open sale not requiring prior registrations. Today the Mi Band, priced at Rs. 999, went out of stock in hours while the last week's third flash sale lasted for only 6 minutes 56 seconds.

The Mi Band was launched in India in April at the same time when Mi 4i smartphone was launched globally. The Mi Band is an inexpensive fitness tracker keeping track of users' steps, exercise workouts and sleep patterns. The tracker can also alert users of missed calls through vibrations. Another neat feature provided is the ability to unlock an Android smartphone if its held in the same hand that wears the Mi Band.

Xiaomi iterates that the battery on the Mi Band lasts up to 30 days and its resistant to water and dust through its IP67 certification. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to Android smartphones or iPhones.
