New Delhi, June 10, 2015: Dell, the world’s fastest-growing large integrated IT Company today echoed its confidence in the opportunities for higher PC adoption and usage from emerging India. Signaling its commitment towards driving PC awareness and usage in India, Dell has been consistently delivering on its planned strategy for the Consumer business focused on product innovation, wider retail and distribution network and market communication. Dell today also announced an expanded portfolio of award-winning devices featuring premium materials, stylish finishes and the latest technologies from its Inspiron, XPS and Alienware and Venue families.

The versatile product range is instrumental in building the company’s vision for PC users to leverage technology in driving the growth of a knowledge economy. The company firmly established its intent to be the frontrunner in the Indian market, having carved an upward path with sequential growth over the past 9 quarters through an ambitious go to market strategy. Recognizing that the demand for a PC is on the rise in emerging towns, Dell is intent on ensuring that technology is made available to consumers who lack access to computing devices. With focused expansion in Tier 3 to Tier 5 markets, today Dell has a retail presence in over 1000 cities across India and 475 Dell Exclusive Stores in over 300 cities. Dell plans to double these numbers by the end of 2015. 

To gain a better understanding of the unique needs of consumers across India, Dell also commissioned a study with Greyhound Research titled the ‘The PC User Trends of Emerging India’ in 40 locations across India capturing insights from students, youth, young workforce and parents. The study validates the ongoing execution of Dell’s sustained strategy across T3 – T5 markets, which aims at building awareness around PC usage among the next generation of PC users. The study examines established and emerging trends around PC usage and its relevance among different user segments as an important tool for skill and knowledge development.

The Inspiron 5000 Series is now available in India and on Dell.co.in starting at Rs. 39,990/- for the Inspiron 15, inclusive of 2 year At Home (onsite) warranty. (Inspiron 14 will be available in India in Q3 FY16)
The XPS 13 is available in the India and on Dell.co.in at a starting price of Rs. 70,990/- 
The Alienware 15 and 17 are now available in India and on Dell.co.in starting at Rs. 125,990/- for the Alienware 15 and Rs. 145,990/- for the Alienware 17
The Venue 8 7000 Series tablets will be available beginning July in India at a starting price of Rs. 34,999/-
