Xiaomi announces it has sold 10 million Mi 4 smartphones globally





















Chinese smartphone maker has announced it has sold 10 million Mi 4 units worldwide since its global launch in July last year. The company launched the phone in India just six months later. In India, Mi 4 was launched in 2 variants, 16 GB and 64 GB for a price of Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 23,999 respectively while now they have received price cuts and are available for Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 19,999.  With similar specifications, OnePlus One has fiercely competed with Mi 4. OnePlus One costs Rs. 18,998 for 16 GB and Rs. 21,998 for 64 GB variant.

Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun hopes that the brand would be able to sell 100 million units before end of year. Last year they had targeted 40 million and passed it easily by selling 61.2 million smartphones. On its fifth anniversary, Xiaomi was able to sell 2.12 million handsets in a single day. All these milestones are impressive and assert Xiaomi as a leading global player in mobile landscape.
