Go to the iPhone with which you have paired the Apple Watch. Locate the Apple Watch app.

Click Apple Watch app.

My Watch app opens. Click General.

General settings are displayed. On this screen, you can see Wrist Detection is set to Enabled. Toggle the switch in front of Wrist Detection to the left.

You will receive a warning message at the bottom of the screen. Read through it and click Turn Off.

Now you can see the toggle switch for Wrist Detection has been turned off and is disabled.

This will ensure that the Apple Watch does not keep activating on raising your wrist but only does so when you tap or knock on the display once.
