Truebil pioneers India’s first-ever virtual car booking feature

~ The company launches ‘Book Now’ and ‘Quick-Sell’ features that offer multiple benefits to both buyers and sellers

Mumbai, 3rd July, 2015: Truebil, a Mumbai-based start-up and India's only transactional managed marketplace for pre-owned cars, in a revolutionary step has announced the launch of ‘Book Now’ feature on their website which will enable buyers to book their car online, a first of its kind in the used-car industry in India. The company also added a ‘Quick-Sell’ feature on their platform that propels a faster sale for the seller. The features also offer multiple benefits to buyers aimed at making the whole process hassle-free and rewarding.

The new feature would have select cars listed on ‘Most Valued Cars’ section on the website, based on technical parameters set by Truebil’s in-house auto engineers and will offer an option to the potential buyer to block the car online for three days with an initial online booking charge of Rs.1000, before finalizing the deal with the seller. The feature also comes with added complimentary benefits like six-month service warranty, Buy back guarantee, one free service and 1 year Road side assistance.

The technical parameters for the cars listed on the ‘Most Valued Car’ are:

- Car purchased post year 2008

- Clocked less than 60,000 Km

- Below market price

As the most interesting and attractive feature, Truebil now offers a buyback guarantee with full refund to the buyer if the car faces any operational problem in Engine, Gear box or the steering within 7 days or 300KM of the purchase. The company also offers a similar benefit to the sellers through their ‘Quick Sell’ feature. If a seller is unable to sell the car through this feature in 15 days, Truebilwill offer to buy the car at a fair price.

Started in March 2015 by IIT alumni, Truebil ensures that each car undergoes an intensive inspection by the in-house auto engineers before Truebil team lists the verified cars on the platform. Every car listed on the portal carries a detailed inspection report and 40 quality photographs. The brand believes in ensuring a satisfied consumer experience and to make it possible, it handholds its sellers and buyers throughout the entire transaction process. The company had recently raised USD 500,000 in its first round of funding from Kae Capital and angel investor Anupam Mittal, Founder and CEO of People Group, which they plan to invest in developing a robust technology to enhance the end-user experience and further expand to other cities in the country.
