OnePlus launches OnePlus 3 smartphone with 6 GB RAM, Dash charge in India for Rs. 27999

New Delhi, June 14, 2016 - After making a senseless mockery of the online VR launch taking place the previous night by asking users to download a 600 MB update right at the fag end and also by revealing all details in newspaper ads and Amazon emails, OnePlus finally got down to business and formally launched OnePlus 3 in India today. The long-awaited flagship and the successor to highly acclaimed OnePlus 2 uses a completely unlocked bootloader giving users a lot of control over their devices. And finally, OnePlus has launched a smartphone without an invite system, what a relief for fans across the globe, many of whom might even have turned rebellious against the brand for doing so the previous years but thankfully, OnePlus has listened to them and no more follows the invite system for the OnePlus 3. The smartphone would be available on beginning today.

One of the key features of OnePlus 3 other than the specifications which we would discuss below is the use of Dash Charge technology that would charge the phone from 0 to 60% in 30 minutes. The technology also continues charging in the middle of intensive 3D gaming or media consumption. This basically works by shifting the power management process from the phone right to the Dash Charge adapter thereby also enabling the device to be faster and cooler throughout.

Pricing & Availability
OnePlus 3 would be available on starting at 12:30 AM on June 15. And the pricing has been set at Rs. 27999 for the 6GB variant. The Graphite variant would be available from the start while the Soft Gold version would make inroads in the near future.

It remains to be seen whether OnePlus 3 manages to woo the crowds the way the brand's previous smartphones, other than the OnePlus X have managed to do. The phone does look good and boasts of high end specifications. The main competitor for this phone at its price range would be the recently launched Le Max 2 and only time will tell which device manages to pip other to the post.
