iPhone 7 reported to include a pressure sensitive home button and to launch in Space Black color
Apple's next flagships, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus might just not be as boring as was previously thought. Macotakara, a Japanese website that posts Apple rumors and gets them right more often than not, reports that the next gen iPhone will have a newly designed home button which won't move mechanically and will sit flush on the screen. However, sensors beneath the button will make the button vibrate which would seem to the users that it is being pressed. Moreover, these sensors would be pressure sensitive allowing the button to be used for hard pressed 3D touches too. This technology has been used by Apple itself in its MacBook like of laptops under the label Force Touch.
Other than the pointers about the home button, Macotakara also claims that Apple would add the Space Black model to its lineup and that too without replacing the Space Grey version. So in all, iPhone 7 would launch in 5 colors of its own - Gold, Rose Gold, Space Grey, Silver and the one to be added, Space Black. Earlier reports of a deep blue iPhone 7 have now been claimed to be false.
Apple's next lineup of iPhone devices is set to hit store shelves on September 16 as has been leaked by Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter), who is well known for his formidable track record when it comes to Apple leaks.
