Asus launches ZenFone 3 series smartphones in India
Asus has launched its largely anticipated ZenFone 3 series of smartphones in India during Zenvolution press event in Delhi. The launch event also saw the unveiling of ZenBook 3 laptop and Transformer 3 Pro convertible. India is one of the first countries to have received the new smartphones after Asus launched them at Computex in Taiwan at the beginning of June this year. The launch event in India was graced by Asus brand ambassador and Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha who walked the ramp as the showstopper for a fashion show choreographed by designer duo Shivan & Narresh.

ZenFone 3 series smartphones were highly anticipated after the phones became really popular after their debut earlier this year. The devices define luxury in terms of performance and design and at the same time provide users with high end features and specifications. All the new smartphones are equipped with PixelMaster 3.0 technology for capturing stunning and highly detailed images in all lighting conditions.

All the new smartphones are impressive in their specifications, design and features, however we are a little skeptical about the prices of the new series. Indian consumers are an extremely budget conscious lot and they would need to be highly convinced about the brand as well as their loyalties before they would be ready to dole out money on these smartphones. It remains to be seen how Asus markets or promotes these smartphones as that would be the deciding factor whether the company would be able to sell these phones in large numbers or not. Moreover, Asus is also going to face a naming dilemma when they launch their next series as they started with ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 4 around 2 years back. So now when they would look ahead towards their next series, the marketing team would have its work cut out. As per our preferences, ZenFone 3 smartphones do offer great specifications and features but even without looking through a microscope, we can say we are not too impressed with the pricing and would have liked the devices to be slightly more affordable for the masses. The brand would receive stiff competition from high end devices from competitors like OnePlus 3 and Le Max2 which provide similar specifications at far lower prices and have also received rave reviews from the blogging community around the world.
