Coolpad sells 50000 Mega 2.5D smartphone units in first flash sale on
Chinese smartphone vendor Coolpad today announced that the company has sold a fabulous 50000 units of their latest smartphone Coolpad Mega 2.5D in their first flash sale in India. We would like to remind you that Coolpad Note 3 smartphone, which was the company's maiden launch in the country was an Amazon bestseller for a long period of time and Note 3 Lite became the most affordable smartphone to carry a fingerprint sensor.

The current feat of surpassing 50K units in the first sale seems to cement the fact that the company does have a bright future in the country. The only time we feel Coolpad faltered was with the pricing of Coolpad Max which they launched a couple of months back. But you can't have all the clouds with silver linings. They are back on track with Coolpad Mega and the phone has been receiving effectively highly positive reviews from the blogger community.

As for the specifications, Coolpad Mega 2.5D carries a 5.5 inch IPS LCD HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution made out of 2.5D curved glass. It also packs a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P Quad-core processor clocked at 1.0 GHz. The GPU powering the graphics is Mali-T720. The operating system running on the device is Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under CoolUI 8.0. The dual SIM dual standby phone has 4G LTE and VoLTE support. The device is only 7.85 thick and weighs around 140 grams. With the little time we had with the device at the launch, we were impressed by the minimalistic nature of its design. The only thing we missed is a fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone was launched on August 10 in Delhi and has been warmly received by Coolpad fans, loyalists and reviewers alike. Coolpad Mega is priced at Rs. 6999, which is the sole reason that the phone is enjoying tremendous success in the stupendously budget conscious country of ours.
