Fitbit, a global fitness wearable company, has today launched two new fitness bands called Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Flex 2 in India as well as across the world. Both the new bands feature impressive designs and track health and fitness statistics reliably and effectively. The bands are available for preorders globally today and would hit the store shelves beginning late September.
Fitbit Charge 2 is the second iteration of Fitbit Charge HR. It boasts of a slick new look and feel and a display which is four times larger than its older sibling. The bands and watch faces can be interchanged giving you the customised look that you need. Charge 2 features PurePulse, a continuous heart rate monitoring system which makes it easier for you to plan out your exercising routines and manage your overall health. It gives you a clear picture of your cardio fitness level thereby motivating you to double up your exercising times, intensity or helping you to advance to your health related goals. Other functions include real-time heart rate visualisations, animations and vibrational hints to help you do guided breathing sessions. Multiple sport modes like running, biking, doing yoga etc. are built in as well. Fitbit Charge 2 uses the GPS in your smartphone to provide real time stats helping you to take action when it matters. SmartTrack automatic exercise recognition feature further makes a record of your daily activities. And Fitbit Charge 2 does show notifications too.
Fitbit Flex 2
Fitbit Flex 2 has an ultra slim profile and it is the second revision of Fitbit Flex. Flex 2 follows a simple design philosophy which features a removable tracker and interchangeable bands. You can customise the band using various bracelets and pendants. An LED light with color coded lighting indicates progress as well as call and text notifications. This swim-proof fitness band is water resistant up to 50 meters and can record your swimming activity including laps, duration and calories burned. Like Charge 2, it has an inbuilt SmartTrack automatic exercise recognition feature. Two designer collections, namely Public School and Tory Burch further allow you to tailor the bands as per your liking.
Both Charge 2 and Flex 2 are open for preorder today on Fitbit.com and Amazon.in exclusively while they would be available in retail stores in late September and October respectively. Fitbit Charge 2 is priced at Rs. 14999 while Fitbit Flex 2 will cost you Rs. 9499. Fitbit is a market leader when it comes to fitness and health wearables and these new versions should further cement its authority in the expansive wearables market. The added ability to show smartphone notifications further enhances the utility of these fitness bands manifold.
