Intex launches Aqua Power HD 4G smartphone with 2 GB RAM, 4G and 3900 mAh battery in India for Rs. 8363
Intex Technologies has today launched a new smartphone in its Aqua series of devices, the Aqua Power HD 4G for a price of Rs. 8363. This comes in the wake of Reliance Jio opening up to more brands for its 90 days Preview Offer on 4G VoLTE smartphones. We have still not received any information from Intex whether their 4G smartphones support this Jio offer or not and so cannot comment on the same. But we have seen a series of budget 4G offerings appearing in the last week and month or so.

Intex Aqua Power HD 4G features a 5 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It comes with a 1.4 GHz Octa core processor supported by 2 GB RAM. The internal memory available on the phone is 16 GB. The phone, which has the dimensions of 144 x 72.8 x 9.6 mm runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The rear camera on the device carries a resolution of 8 Megapixels and comes with an LED flash. The front facing selfie camera has a resolution of 5 Megapixels.

The smartphone also sports a Li-polymer battery with a capacity of 3900 mAh to power it through medium to heavy usage. The claimed usage for the battery stands at 300 hours standby time and 7 hours talk time. Other functions available on the smartphone include smile detection and emergency rescue.

Intex Aqua Power HD 4G has 21 regional language support through its bundled Matrabhasha service. Other value additions that have been pre-installed on the device include iData Saver, Clean Master, Saavn, Mobikwik, and Intex services. The smartphone comes in three premium painting finish colors of champagne, blue and grey.

As mentioned above, we are seeing a flurry of affordable 4G smartphones appearing in the Indian market of late and the reason most definitely is the expansion of Reliance Jio Preview Offer. However, we will also keep you informed once we get any intimation from Intex regarding any partnership with Reliance Jio from their end as well. As of now, we won't jump to conclusions just yet.
