Karbonn launches K9 Viraat smartphone with 3D kit in India for Rs. 4799
Karbonn K9 Viraat carries a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. As for internals, there is a 1.3 GHz Quad core MediaTek SoC along with 1 GB RAM. The internal memory capacity of the phone is 8 GB which can be expanded up to 64 GB with the use of a microSD card.
The smartphone features a 5 Megapixels rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash. The front snapper has a resolution of 3.2 Megapixels. The phone holds a Li-ion battery of 2800 mAh which the company claims to offer standby time of up to 350 hours and talk time of up to 8 hours while using under 2G network. The operating system running on the device is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the connectivity options include Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth and a microUSB port. The phone weights 173.4 grams.
Karbonn K9 Viraat would be available on Snapdeal as well as leading retail stores in offline channels. With the growing demand for Reliance Jio connections and a number of brands launching budget 4G smartphones, we would have preferred if Karbonn had introduced 4G into this phone as well. Samsung has just launched a Tizen based 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone called Z2 in India for Rs. 4590 and with people lining up in huge numbers to get their hands at Reliance Jio SIM cards, it would have made more sense to launch a 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone at this point of time.
