LG has launched X Cam smartphone in India for Rs. 19990. The USP of the device is a dual camera and LG X Cam stands as a highly affordable option if you are looking for two cameras at the back. The device would be available across brick and mortar stores across the country starting today. The smartphone is available in only Titan Silver color.

LG X Cam features a 5.2 inch FHD In-cell Touch display. It is powered by a 1.14 GHz Octa core processor supported by 2 GB RAM. The internal storage available on the device is 16 GB. The smartphone is 4G LTE enabled and has dimensions of 147.5 x 73.6 x 6.9 mm.

The operating system running on LG X Cam is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The claimed battery capacity is 2520 mAh. Just like the LG G5, this smartphone has a 120-degree wide angle lens on its secondary camera. The standard rear camera has a resolution of 13 Megapixels while the secondary wide angle camera has a resolution of 5 Megapixels. This secondary camera has ability to capture 53% wider area than traditional smartphone cameras. This secondary camera would complement the standard lens and help to click some great pictures. The front selfie camera on LG X Cam is 8 Megapixels.

Another feature on the device includes Pop-out Picture which combines images taken from both rear cameras to create a picture-in-a-frame effect. Additionally, there is a Signature function for the ability to add a caption to a photo.

Even with the provision of a dual camera, we feel that the price of the phone does not justify its specifications. Furthermore, we do not have any information whether this phone has a fingerprint sensor or not but the images seem to show that it does not. If people have 20k to spend, they would probably look at Le Max 2 or Xiaomi Mi 5 which has received a price cut of Rs. 2000 a couple of days back and is now selling for Rs. 22999. I believe the phone needed to have better specifications other than just the camera features to be able to demand such a price. However, LG is known to make wonderful smartphone cameras and if you really are keen to check out a dual camera on an affordable phone, then you definitely can have a peek at LG X Cam.
