Starting with Honor 8, Huawei would integrate Truecaller in all its phones out of the box
The popular mobile app Truecaller announced on Friday that they would pre-install the app on all Huawei devices beginning with Honor 8. This is a global partnership between the app developers and the world's third largest smartphone company.
Truecaller has a database of contact numbers and caller IDs which helps it to tap spam calls and block them in real time. In March, the company coalesced its social calling app Truedialler with the main Truecaller app.
Here is an excerpt from the company's official blog post, "We are also proud to announce today that we have joined forces with Huawei mobile phones (Huawei achieved 40M+ smartphone shipments from overseas market in 2015,) which will now come preloaded with the new Truecaller app in its flagship devices starting with Honor 8, to provide our users with smart dialer functions right from the day they buy the new device."
This partnership would enable users of smartphones engineered by Huawei as well as its sub brand Honor to find numbers, block spammers, check call duration etc. which would add to the functionality of the rudimentary dialer that the phones have.
