Coolpad's latest smartphone, the Mega 2.5 D is now available via open sale on Amazon India
Chinese smartphone company Coolpad has started selling its latest device, Coolpad Mega 2.5 D through open sale on Amazon.in. Coolpad has been a fast growing brand in India ever since they launched in partnership with Dazen and then separated to unveil the best selling Coolpad Note 3. The only failure they have had in terms of sales has been Coolpad Max, which we feel they did not price appropriately. Coolpad Mega, the latest one, was launched in Delhi on 10th August, 2016 for a price of Rs. 6999.

The device has been up for sale since yesterday. The open sale means customers would not have to undergo the painful process of registration only to find themselves coming late to the party and the phones going out of stock.

In terms of specifications, Coolpad Mega 2.5 D sports a 5.5 inch IPS LCD HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 2.5D curved screen. The phone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTel MT6735P Quad core SoC clocked at 1.0 GHz. The GPU supporting the processor is Mali-T720. Coolpad Mega 2.5 D runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow layered under CoolUI 8.0. The dual SIM dual standby smartphone has 4G and VoLTE support. The device is 7.85 mm thick and carries a weight of 140 grams.

The phone has been getting some fabulous reviews specially due to its pricing. Though we ourselves approve of the phone and its features and specifications as well, we feel an additional fingerprint sensor would have easily made it the numero uno smartphone choice in the budget category. This is not to say that the phone won't sell well but just that it might demotivate a few people who have got used to fingerprint sensors on their previous phones. Anyways, you can definitely head over to Amazon.in and get yourselves a thorough look before making your final choice.
