Canon launches new entry level DSLR, the EOS 200D in India
Canon has today unveiled its newest addition to the EOS DSLR family of cameras with the announcement of EOS 200D. The entry level camera deliveries superior performance and captivating imagery with features like Dual Pixel CMOS AF, 24.2 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 image processor.
The EOS 200D allows both amateur and professional photographers to click vivid and crisp images. The camera along with EF-S18-55 IS STM kit lens costs Rs. 47495. If you purchase the camera along with a double zoom kit with an EF-S18-55 IS STM + EF-S55-250 IS STM lens, then the package would set you back by Rs. 60495. The EOS 200D will hit the store shelves at the end of July.
The DIGIC 7 processor, which forms the heart and soul of EOS 200D lets the ISO speed reach 25600. This allows for clear photography in low light conditions by reducing motion blur. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF helps users in achieving ultra fast focusing during Live View and movie recording. A user can shoot at a speed of 3.5 frames per second (fps) through the use of Live View Servo AF that the camera is equipped with.
Another useful feature that the camera packs in is a vari-angle touch screen LCD monitor. The fully articulating screen allows for composing shots and videos at awkward angles. The camera can also deliver movies in Full HD quality at 60 fps.
The camera weighs 406 grams without the lens and will be available in black color. Beginners can navigate through the functions of the EOS 200D using the pictorial user interface. The camera also allows for taking sharp and beautiful images in this age and craze of selfie focused smartphones. The vari-angle LCD screen mentioned above lets users find the right angle from which they wish to take selfies.
The camera has a grain finish and ensures strong and secure grip. The designing of the internal components has been done in a manner that helps in achieving a compact external form factor. The connectivity options available on the EOS 200D include Wi-Fi and NFC which can help users share media to their smart devices like smartphones, laptops and tablets. The Camera Connect app further helps with real time control of settings like shutter speed and self timer. The camera also features Bluetooth low energy which can be used to connect smartphones or tablets to be able to see live view, capture images remotely and control image playback through mobile devices.
