Nokia 3 is now available for Rs. 9499 at a retail store next to your home
HMD Global launched Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones in India earlier in the week and now the Nokia 3 is available in offline retail stores for a price of Rs. 9499. Nokia 3 is the most affordable of the 3 smartphones and should rack up a good position in the budget mobile device category. Additionally, there are bundled data offers from Vodafone and discount travel offers from on purchase of the device.

Nokia 3 has a beautiful polycarbonate body housed in a precision-machined aluminium frame. The device sports a 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of ~67.3%. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass unspecified version. The phone features a 1.3 GHz Quad core MediaTek MTK 6737 SoC coupled with 2 GB RAM. It packs 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB through a microSD card.

On the camera front, there is an 8 Megapixel lens on the rear as well as an 8 Megapixel lens on the front. There is an LED flash with the rear camera.

Other specifications include 2630 mAh battery capacity. The connectivity options available on the device are USB OTG, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC and microUSB 2.0 for charging and data transfers. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and would be updated to Android O in the near future as promised by the company. The company defines the operating system experience on Nokia 3 as clutter-free and focused with regular updates roped in. The phone is available in the following 4 colors - Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black and Copper.

Though there is nothing unique on paper for the smartphone, yet Nokia's brand name that it built from years of ruling the mobile industry would definitely give the Nokia 3 as well as its other offerings a colossal initial push. But whether it would be able to sustain immense and fierce competition from the Chinese brands in the long run remains to be seen. If you really wish to find out, go and grasp the Nokia 3 at your nearest offline retail store now.
