OnePlus 5 specs - Another flagship killer in the making
The date for the launch of OnePlus' next flagship, the OnePlus 5 has finally been revealed. The phone will launch globally on 20th June 2017. In India, the phone is getting unveiled on 22nd June 2017 and would start selling on the same day. Today we are rounding up the OnePlus 5 specs for you.

OnePlus has not shied away from disclosing the internals of its new phone and the Amazon ad clearly lists out a few specifications of the phone. OnePlus 5 would supposedly be powered by a 2.35 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It would also be the first phone in the country boasting of 8 GB RAM. If compared to iPhone, the latter has not even touched 4 GB RAM as yet though the memory optimisation on iPhone is still way ahead. The internal memory speculated to be on the device is either 64 GB or 128 GB.

The smartphone's latest pictures on its official Facebook page show that it sports a dual camera lens. And it sure does make the OnePlus 5 look a lot like the iPhone 7 Plus, at least from the back. It remains to be seen how the brand utilises the dual camera setup on the back though.

OnePlus 5 should also carry a 5.5 inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It should feature a 4000 mAh battery to power the device. The new flagship phone will run on Android 7.1 Nougat. And since the company has very recently promised Android O update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, the OnePlus 5 would also be moved over to Android O within a short span of time.

Well, these OnePlus 5 specs seem to be mouth watering and if the phone's designers can carve out a good looking phone, this latest flagship killer from OnePlus would definitely give the likes of Samsung S8, S8+, Google Pixel 2 and its own OnePlus 3/3T a run for their money.
