Samsung to invest Rs. 4915 crore for Noida plant expansion and strengthen its core proposition of Make in India, Make for India

World's leading electronics company Samsung today announced that it is going to invest Rs. 4915 crore in its Indian plant located at Noida for resource and infrastructure expansion as well as for implementing further manufacturing activities. The plant currently manufactures smartphones, refrigerators and flat screen televisions. The move would strengthen Samsung's as well as the Indian government's prospective mission of 'Make in India', 'Make for India' and 'Digital India'.

The investment efforts will multiply the smartphone and refrigerator production capacity of the plant by a factor of two, which would enhance Samsung's numero uno position in the electronics market. The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the company's plan recently.

The additional capital that would be infused by Samsung in its Noida plant for expansion activities would greatly boost the human task force requirement by generating a large number of jobs across all levels. With Samsung being a master at executing state of the art manufacturing processes, the investment would intrinsically push the excellent experiences that the brand manages to provide to its customers to a whole new level.

Samsung, the global major that it already is, entered the Indian market in 1995. Since then, it has managed to capture the imagination of millions of organisations and people that got attached to it by developing and selling world class products across a diverse portfolio. The company currently employs over 70000 people through its supply chain network of over 1.5 lakh retail outlets. This fresh investment in the Noida plant would further rewrite history books in glorious ways for the company.
