Vivo X9s, X9s Plus to be unveiled in China on 6th July
Chinese mobile devices vendor Vivo will be launching X9s and X9s Plus smartphones in China in the coming week. These devices would be unveiled on July 6th. Not much has been reported about the specifications or features of Vivo X9s as yet. As per a report on Playful Droid, Vivo has sent out media invites for the launch event to take place in Beijing next week.
The Vivo X9s Plus is reported to pack in a 5.85 inch Full HD OLED screen. It will be powered by 1.95 GHz Octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB RAM. The internal storage available on the device will be 64 GB.
Vivo X9s Plus will sport dual front cameras with a resolution of 20 Megapixels and 5 Megapixels. The camera at the rear would bear a resolution of 16 Megapixels. The phone would run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and carry a 3920 mAh battery. These details have been extracted out of the phone's listing on TENAA's website a month ago.
Vivo X9s Plus, due to the dual camera setup at the front, is expected to find popularity with the selfie crazy crowd. The Vivo X9 series which the X9s series is now succeeding has not made its way through India as yet. However, since consumers in our country are as much selfie loving as their Chinese counterparts, we think the company should think it over and introduce the new series in India too.
Vivo is expected to showcase a smartphone with an on-screen fingerprint sensor at MWC 2017 in Shanghai. The event is starting on June 28th and it would be interesting to see if Vivo can pip the tech giants Apple and Samsung to the post by introducing a technology that the world has not seen as yet.
