Lenovo launches K8 Note with deca-core processor, dual cameras and stock Android in India
Lenovo India has launched the latest addition to its K Note series of smartphones, the K8 Note. The phone offering dual rear cameras on board comes in two variants at pocket friendly prices. The first variant with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage can be bought at Rs. 12999 while the other one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage stands at a price of Rs. 13999. The sale of the phone starts on Friday, 18th August, 12 noon exclusively on Amazon.in.
Lenovo K8 Note is crafted with metal and will be available in two colors - Venom Black and Fine Gold.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5.5 inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection along with anti fingerprint coating. One of the major selling point of the device would be its 64-bit Helio X23 (MT6797) processor which is a deca-core SoC running at up to 2.3 GHz clock speed. Lenovo K8 Note stands at being the first smartphone to use this chipset. The GPU powering the system is ARM Mali T-880 MP4. The two memory variants available have been mentioned above and both these variants can be expanded up to 128 GB through a microSD card. The dual SIM phone does not employ a hybrid slot and has dedicated space for a microSD card improving on a strong pain point from a large number of smartphones.
K8 Note comprises of a variety of firsts for Lenovo along with the provision of a dual rear camera setup. The two cameras sport a resolution of 13 Megapixels and 5 Megapixels. The 13 Megapixel lens is the primary sensor while the 5 Megapixel lens is a secondary depth sensor for enhanced depth of field. The two lenses work together to allow professionals and amateurs to click depth of field and bokeh shots as per their liking. The front camera has a resolution of 13 Megapixels with a full light LED flash.
Lenovo K8 Note comes with an advanced water repellent coating protecting it from spills and sprinkles of rain. However, the brand advises against sinking the phone in a tub of water. Another first for Lenovo is the usage of stock Android on the K8 Note. It runs Android 7.1.1 which is bloatfree, smooth, secure and stable.
The device has a huge non-removable 4000 mAh battery along with a bundled 15W Turbo Charger for fast charging. The smartphone has in built TheaterMax and Dolby Atmos technology for stunning visuals and sound output through a VR headset. The phone also has a dedicated music key for controlling music playback and for switching tracks. The connectivity options available on Lenovo K8 Note include 4G, LTE, 3G, Dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 and fingerprint sensor. The device weighs 180 grams.
